イメージ
Anna saw a newspaper on Sam's seat. There was a photograph on the back page. It was Sam's photograph! Above the photograph was a headline: This man is a dangerous fighter! Anna was excited and nervous. She was going to visit her aunt in Naira and it was her first journey away from home. She arrived at the station and got in the train. After a long time, Anna fell asleep because she was so frightened of this journey that she was very tired. When Anna woke up, there was a man in the carriage with her and he asked her where she was going. She was going to get off the train at Naira but the man told her that they passed Naira two hours ago. She had no extra money so she wanted to cry. Then the man told, "I will help you". His name was Sam, who  looked very ugly and had a long scar on his face. He also had a newspaper and she noticed that it was said that "This man is a dangerous fighter". Is Sam dangerous? Can Anna trust him? and Can Anna meet her aunt? After re

The Truth Machine

'I love truth,' said Professor Verity, 'and I hate lies. I love good people and I hate bad people. I love peace and I hate war. The Truth Machine loves truth, good people and peace. It hates lies, bad people and war.' Professor Verity invented, what is called, the Truth Machine and told the newspaper office about it. He asked the office to send a reporter to him immediately and the reporter soon arrived at the laboratory. Soon, the Truth Machine was known to millions of people and they sent letters to Professor Verity. Then, the professor chose  three clients: Mrs. Seeker, Inspector Sack, and Dr. Simple. Mrs. Seeker had a problem with his husband and she suspected that he had another woman. Inspector Sack was a policeman and wondered if criminals were guilty or not. Dr. Simple wanted to know about an empty spy who he caught. Now, the Truth Machine will solve these mysteries. Reading this book, I wondered if the truth was always really right. 'What are you talking about? I never take money with me when I run.' Dan looks for the money but he cannot find any. Dan and Sue are police officers in London, where someone steals money from people near the shops every day. To stop this, they sit upstairs in a window over the shops and watch the people in the street. Dan and Sue suspect a jogger, who runs near the shops every day and sometimes runs into people, to be the criminal and they wait for him to show up. Then, the jogger appears and runs into an old woman. She falls down and some people around her help her. The jogger runs away.  The two polices run up to the old woman and ask her whether she has all her money. As they expect, she lose her wallet somewhere, so they catch the jogger and ask him. Th

Charles and Shelia had no plan, but Paul was going to stay in a cottage, which belongs to his uncle. His uncle was going to Greece and Paul could use the cottage freely, so he invited Charles and Shelia and they made a appointment to meet each other at Llanvoy station in Wales on August 15th. The appointed day came. Shelia and Charles got there but Paul was not around. They went into the small cafe and waited him but he didn't come. Half an hour had already passed since the meeting time. 'Paul might have forgotten about our visit', they thought like that and they decided to go to the cottage by themselves. They arrived there and knocked on the do

Oh well, I need some coffee.' This is a transport company. Mark Miles and his son Andy had a trouble from the morning on. The trouble was Gary, one of the carriers broke his arm and he couldn't drive today. Just then, Kim Parker arrived, who was a student, but he had a driver's license and passport. Andy, who couldn't drive a truck but could drive a car, read a map, and speak French, decided to go to France with Kim.  There was a rule that all truck drivers must stop for 45 minutes in every 4 hours, so they were resting in the cafeteria. The official held out is hand. 'Identity Card,' he said. 'Excuse me. I don't understand,' I replied. 'Your Identity Card,' the  official said again. 'Give me your Identity Card.' 'What is an Identity Card?' I asked. One day an old man, Adam got a letter from his son, Saul, who is making a lot of money in a foreign country. He called to his wife, Martha and told about the letter and called to a school teacher because he couldn't read and write. The school teacher read the letter, and told Adam and Martha that Saul sent them a money order. The sum was one hundred pounds. 'One hundred pounds!' Adam couldn't believe it but felt happy. If he had so much money, he could buy some good food, drink, and many things for his farm and his house. The next morning he got up very early and went to Darpur to go the Post Office and get much money. After he arrived there he gave the money order to the official, and he was sure to get a lot of m

Marco was not frightened now. He felt angry. 'Stop!' he shouted. But the girl did not stop. She kept running and Marco followed her. On Friday afternoon, Marco was on the farm as usual and helped his father's work. They worked together, but he never talked much with his father. Marco was tired of his daily life and there was nothing to do, so he decided to get on the train to the city on Saturday morning. Nobody knew his plan. Marco got up early and he tried to get on the train, but he had little money. Although a man sold tickets for the train, Marco hid behind a fence at the end of the platform. L. A. Raid

イメージ
I read L.A. Raid (Philip Prowse) Monday morning in June, Lenny Samuel, who is a detective happens to meet a duck-masked robber who is coming out of the bank. The robber has a gun in the right hand and Samuel throws himself to the ground. When polices arrived at the bank, the robber had already run away, so the polices were difficult to solve the incident and the police investigation was very slow. Then, the telephone rings. "This is Ronald Carter,' says a deep voice. I'm the President of the first City Bank. We don't know each other but... I want you to work for me. I need a private detective. Come and see me now!" Samuel's work as a private detective starts here and you will be surprised at the conclusion of this book.  This book was very interesting. Samuel is said to be clever and tough, but I thought he was full of himself and he was useless. The robber was very clever and cool. I recommend you the battle scene between the robber and Samuel. detective: 探

I read STARMAN (PHILLI BURROWS AND MARK FOSTER). A big red car drives on a long, long road. The driver is a farmer, Bill and he is hot and tired. His home is about a hundred kilometers away, so he listens to the radio and sings so as not to sleep. On his way home, he suddenly found something in front of his car. It was a man! and he spoke to the man. However, no matter what Bill spoke to the man, he had no reply. There was nothing on this road and the man was empty-handed, so Bill couldn't leave the man there. Then he opened the car door and he let the man in the car. Bill spoke to the man. There was no answer. He gets home and tells his wife, Emily about the man. They look into the man closely and they found that his name was John Phillips and that he was missing for thirty years. Bill and Emily were afraid of the strange man and they wanted to keep a distance from him. Therefore, they called a flying doctor and asked him to take John to the hospital. After an hour the doctor came
