Rich Man, Poor Man

The official held out is hand. 'Identity Card,' he said.
'Excuse me. I don't understand,' I replied.
'Your Identity Card,' the  official said again. 'Give me your Identity Card.'
'What is an Identity Card?' I asked.
One day an old man, Adam got a letter from his son, Saul, who is making a lot of money in a foreign country. He called to his wife, Martha and told about the letter and called to a school teacher because he couldn't read and write.
The school teacher read the letter, and told Adam and Martha that Saul sent them a money order. The sum was one hundred pounds. 'One hundred pounds!' Adam couldn't believe it but felt happy. If he had so much money, he could buy some good food, drink, and many things for his farm and his house.
The next morning he got up very early and went to Darpur to go the Post Office and get much money. After he arrived there he gave the money order to the official, and he was sure to get a lot of money immediately. However, if he wanted to get any money for the money order, he needed his Identity Card.
He don't have Identity Card so he tries to make it, but Identity Card brings him a bad experience.

The title of this book is "Rich Man, Poor Man" but two rich and poor man don't appear and a man falls upon Rich and Poor. Reading this book, I felt very sorry for an old man, Adam and I wanted to sympathize with him.
Now, could he get one hundred pounds safely? Please check it with your own eyes.
